Time blindness

A departure can sneak up on you when several things need to happen first. This prompt places labeled alarms around a fixed leave time so each transition is visible.

Backward from the door

Use when you have somewhere to be and often lose track of time beforehand.

I need to leave for [DESTINATION] at [LEAVE TIME]. I am available from [START TIME]. Before leaving: [TASKS WITH DURATIONS AND ANY FIXED TIMES]. Work backward step by step using my durations. Reserve the final ten minutes as an empty buffer, with all preparation finished before it starts. Output at most six alarm lines in chronological order, each with a time and a concrete action, including the buffer start and departure. Check that tasks do not overlap fixed commitments. If durations are missing or the routine cannot fit, ask one question and wait before making the alarm list. After the list, ask me to check it before I set the alarms; do not claim to set them.

Sample input I leave for the dentist at 2:45 pm and am free after my call ends at 1:30 pm. Lunch takes 25 minutes, finding my insurance card takes 10, and changing clothes and putting on shoes takes 15.

Sample AI reply 1:30 pm — Eat lunch; finish by 1:55. 1:55 pm — Find your insurance card and put it in your bag; allow ten minutes. 2:20 pm — Change clothes and put on shoes; finish by 2:35. 2:35 pm — Buffer begins; keep these ten minutes unassigned. 2:45 pm — Leave for the dentist. Does this match your routine before you set the alarms?
